VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The ASEAN Foundation (AF) is an inter-governmental, non-profit organisation established by the ten ASEAN Member Countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam) with the mandates to promote greater awareness of ASEAN among the general public, and help address poverty and socio-economic disparity issues in the region. It now invites applications from nationals of ASEAN Member Countries residing in Indonesia for the following career position.

PROGRAMME OFFICER

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide assistance to the Programme Coordinator and Executive Director on programme coordination, development, fund raising and public awareness of the Foundation;
  2. Provide effective support for technical appraisal of project proposals, as well as  monitoring,  evaluation and impact assessment of project implementation;
  3. Provide assistance in the preparation of working papers, correspondences, reports and other required materials for various purposes as well as the servicing of meetings;
  4. Provide support to coordinate and manage the preparation of work-plans and publication/materials for the promotion of the AF to various stakeholders and audiences;
  5. Represent the Foundation in meetings, ceremonies and seminars as assigned;
  6. Help initiate and suggest projects and activities that are beneficial to and in accordance with the mandate of the Foundation;
  7. Assist the Programme Coordinator and Executive Director on the technical, administrative and financial aspects of special events and activities of the Foundation
  8. Maintain and foster conducive working environment and high spirit of staff members for stronger team-work, team-building and improved productivity within the Organisation;
  9. Assist in updating the AF website and relevant databases periodically;
  10. Perform any activity related to the functions of the Foundation that may be assigned by the Programme Coordinator and/or Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. At least a university degree, preferably at Masters level.
  2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in development-related and/or program management areas. Knowledge in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) development, communications, media and/or fund raising would be an advantage.
  3. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy. Website management experience would be desirable.
  4. Good interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced, multi-national and team player environment.
  5. Willing to travel when required and at relatively short notice.

Conditions:

Selected candidates shall be offered the posts with probationary period of three months. Upon completion of the probationary period, each candidate will be given a three-year contract, inclusive of the three-month probationary period.

Remuneration:

Starting basic salary: Rp. 6-8 million per month, depending on qualifications and previous experiences. Other benefits include bonus, transportation, and medical allowances.
