Ha Noi (09/12) – Thirty puppet artists and musicians from the ASEAN Puppet Exchange (APEX) collective will gather in Ha Noi from 9 -18 December 2016 to collaboratively work on the “One ASEAN” story to commemorate the first year of establishing the ASEAN Community. The artist-to-artist exchange is a culmination of nine series of APEX workshop across Southeast Asia that has started since 2014.

Jakarta (26/10) - Three collaborative projects between social enterprises in ASEAN were launched today, 26 October 2016, at Project Showcase of ASEAN Conference on Social Entrepreneurship 2016 in Jakarta. Over 100 people from ASEAN member states, Japan and Australia attended. Apart from social enterprises, business incubators, investors, development agencies, and international NGOs were also there.

Vientiane, Lao PDR (04/09) – The ASEAN Foundation is organising its Second Model ASEAN Meeting (AFMAM) in Vientiane, Lao PDR from 2 October to 6 October 2016. Taking place at the International Cooperation and Training Centre (ICTC), this year’s AFMAM gathered 80 undergraduate students and 10 academic advisers to deliberate on issues related to labour migration in the context of ASEAN decision-making processes.
Guilin, 27 September 2016 – The First China Model ASEAN Meeting was officially opened yesterday at Guangxi Normal University (GXNU) in Guilin, China. The First China Model ASEAN Meeting or shortened as the First CMAM involved participation of around 75 Chinese students from the GXNU and 30 students from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Viet Nam studying at the GXNU and other universities in Guilin city.
70 undergraduate students and 10 university academic members were selected from 30 different universities across ASEAN to participate in the five-day programme of the Second ASEAN Foundation Model ASEAN Meeting 2016 (2nd AFMAM 2016). They went through a vigorous selection process involving representatives from the Lao Permanent Mission to ASEAN, the ASEAN Secretariat as well as the ASEAN Foundation.
The ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY) is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual ASEAN Youth Video contest focused on the theme of “volunteerism” in the ASEAN Community.
