The ASEAN Foundation’s Media Programme involves capacity building that aims at promoting freedom of expressions and making the best use of media for rich and positive image of ASEAN. The initiatives include journalist training, media and digital literacy training, citizen journalism training, public campaign and new media.
The essence of expressions goes beyond the mainstream of political and economic foci, but covers a wealth of community views that promote richer comprehension about ASEAN, leading to ASEAN cohesiveness, its commitment to shared-concerns and community building processes.
The main target recipients of the Media Programme are media practitioners, journalists, media institutions as well as the youth group. The Foundation’s projects under the Media Programme are Reporting ASEAN and ASEAN Youth Video Contest.
