The ASEAN Digital Innovation Programme (ADIP), launched in 2019 by the ASEAN Foundation in collaboration with Microsoft, aimed to equip underserved youth aged 15–35 with vital digital and computer science skills. The programme sought to bridge the digital divide across ASEAN by making high-quality learning accessible to those with limited opportunities.
Central to ADIP was the Future Ready ASEAN platform, a user-friendly learning hub offering both in-person and online training. The programme introduced four engaging learning pathways: Digital Citizen, Dream Team Player, Data Wizard, and Social Innovator—each designed to nurture digital literacy, collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation in response to real-world challenges.
A standout moment of ADIP was the 2019 Future Ready ASEAN Competition, themed “Sustainability.” It challenged youth to build tech-based solutions addressing climate and biodiversity concerns in the region.
By the end of 2019, ADIP had successfully trained 583 educators and non-profit leaders, ultimately reaching 25,854 youth participants.
