ASEAN-Korea Youth Influencers Project

The ASEAN-Korea Youth Influencers Project brought together 33 passionate young content creators from ASEAN and the Republic of Korea (ROK) to foster people-to-people ties through digital storytelling. Jointly implemented by the ASEAN Foundation and the Mission of the ROK to ASEAN in 2024, the project built on the legacy of the Korea Online Supporters and ASEAN Foundation Influencers Programme.

Over ten weeks, selected youth developed engaging content that highlighted shared culture, economic cooperation, and youth empowerment. Through platforms like TikTok and Instagram, participants produced 572 original posts, reaching nearly 2 million users. This digital campaign supported the ASEAN Work Plan on Youth and aligned with ROK’s vision of becoming a Global Pivotal State.

Participants underwent a series of training and mentorship sessions to refine their storytelling skills, gain regional insight, and amplify positive narratives around ASEAN-Korea cooperation. Four creators—representing Myanmar, Indonesia, Viet Nam, and Brunei Darussalam—were named Best Influencers for their exceptional creativity and impact.
